This website explains Looksy and includes an interactive demonstration. To use Looksy, you send photos, videos, and messages to @trylooksy on Instagram. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the website, contact Keeda, or use the service.
Two different things are covered here, and they collect very different information. Visiting this website is a static, anonymous experience. Using Looksy in Instagram DMs means sending photos and messages through a service that processes them. A static website does not mean the connected service collects no data.
When you visit this website
Operator: this website is operated by Keeda, a solo developer based in Dunsborough, Western Australia. Contact: keedascully@gmail.com.
Hosting and request data. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers see standard request data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and timestamps. This is logged and used to operate, secure, and debug the site, and is processed on Cloudflare's infrastructure in accordance with Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party widgets. The interactive demo runs entirely in your browser with no JavaScript frameworks and no network requests. Nothing you do on this site is used to build a profile of you.
When you use Looksy in Instagram DMs
Using Looksy means messaging @trylooksy on Instagram and sending photos and videos of outfits. This is a different situation from browsing the website, because the service processes what you send.
What is processed. To answer your request, the service processes: your Instagram messages; the photos and videos you send; your Instagram identifier and the session tied to it; and the text of your conversation with the bot, including any corrections you give (“not that jacket”, “something in green”).
Why. This information is used for the purpose you asked for: identifying garments in your images and finding real shopping listings for them. The legal basis for this processing is the request itself — you send an outfit photo so it can be analysed, and the processing is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
How it's handled. Processing is carried out by automated services, some of which are operated by third parties. The current service stack includes: Instagram/Meta (where the conversation happens and media is received), Supabase (database and media storage), Cloudinary (image processing), n8n (workflow automation), and AI analysis providers used to identify garments in images. Each of these is a separate company with its own terms and privacy policies.
Retention. Messages, media and identifiers are kept only as long as needed to operate the service and respond to your requests. No automated deletion periods are claimed here — if you want something deleted, ask directly via keedascully@gmail.com and it will be actioned. What's on your side of the conversation (your copy of the DMs) stays governed by Instagram/Meta's terms.
Transfers. The providers listed above operate internationally, so information you send through the service may be processed outside Australia. Where providers offer standard transfer safeguards (such as EU standard contractual clauses), those apply to covered transfers; for an individual chat with a small bot, the practical protection is that the data is limited to what your request requires.
No training claim. This policy deliberately does not promise that your images are or aren't used to train AI models — that depends on the separate policies of the AI providers involved. If that matters to you, the providers' policies are the place to check, and you can always ask Keeda what's currently in use.
When you email Keeda
If you contact keedascully@gmail.com with feedback or a privacy request, the email (including your address and anything you write) is kept only for as long as needed to handle your message. Your email stays between you and the operator — it isn't shared for marketing or sold to anyone. There is no marketing email list, and this site does not collect email addresses.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information the service holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to a particular use. To exercise any of these, contact keedascully@gmail.com — that address is the single point of control for this project, and requests are actioned directly.
If you're in Australia, the Australian Privacy Act (including the Australian Privacy Principles) gives you these rights. If you're in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the law where you live.
The Instagram conversation itself is also subject to Meta's privacy policy, which governs the platform Looksy runs on.
Effective date. This policy is effective from 9 September 2026 and will be updated here if the way the service handles information changes.

Status: no affiliate network is currently active. The links shown in the interactive demo are ordinary, non-affiliate examples — they never open anywhere, and nothing in the demo earns a commission. When real shopping links are introduced in the service, this disclosure will be updated to describe the actual relationship, and any monetized recommendations will carry a visible disclosure beside them — a footer link alone isn't enough.
